John has been included in DETAILS magazine’s Power 40 list, ranking the 40 most influential men under 40. John comes in at number 11 on the list. The issue goes on sale tomorrow (December 2) and features Tom Cruise on the cover.
I highly reccommend DETAILS in general. I know it’s a magazine for dudes, and I’m a girl, but I think it’s always good to know what the other side is reading. Plus they do have great articles, features and photos.
There’s a rumor floating around that John Mayer might be getting his own variety show on CBS next year. I think the guy is very funny and very talented, as was evidenced in his “John Mayer Has a TV Show” on VH1 awhile back. His focus group bit with his fans still cracks me up to this day. So if it’s true then I say more power to him.

Fire up your Tivo! VH1 Classic is airing the Hard Rock Calling Festival, of which John Mayer was a performer, this Friday, August 1st. Check your local listings.
VH1 Classic and MHD will exclusively broadcast the U.S. 2-hour premiere of the “Hard Rock Calling Festival” on Friday, August 1 beginning at 9:00PM ET/PT. The two-day festival which was filmed live on June 28 and 29 in London’s legendary Hyde Park served as the setting of The Police’s final UK performance. The festival also featured headliner Eric Clapton, along with John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, The Bangles, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Jason Mraz, and KT Tunstall.
