The talented 32-year-old singer/songwriter, John Mayer, was born on October 16, 1977 and grew up in Connecticut. (Now living in New York) He had listened to pop for most of his life, until hearing blues at age 13. Immediately after, John picked up a guitar and two years later, was performing at clubs all over.

Mayer is known for his honest lyrics and unique style of music. His music has been categorized as Pop, Rock, and even Folk.

John moved to Atlanta in 1998, after leaving Boston’s Berklee College of Music. A year later he released his first album called “Inside Wants Out.” His music has been compared to everything from Sting to the Dave Matthews Band. John has a unique style that cannot be found anywhere else.

He also seems to love his fans (which is always a great thing). “[My fans] are probably the people who had to bounce around to a couple different lunch tables before they found one they could sit at. Not because they were strange, but because they were just a little ahead of their time. And I’m onstage being paid to tell them, ‘It’s OK, I’m with you.’”
