Check out this YouTube video from John Mayer. He gives some details on how he plans on organizing his shows this summer. I, for one, am very excited about this summer’s tour. It definitely sounds like it’s going to be a great time. If there’s one thing I can say about Mayer it’s that he’s always super thoughtful about what he’s giving to his fans. You can rest assured that he’s going to give you his best and keep it interesting.

You can leave your BBQ and coolers at home if you’re planning on attending John Mayer’s show on July 15th at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Live Nation has banned tailgating at five concerts slated for New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center in an effort to reduce alcohol consumption. A crack down on underage drinking, the restriction applies to shows by the likes of John Mayer, OAR, 311, WKTU’s Beatstock and Linkin Park’s day-long Projekt Revolution festival.

Ok, without further adieu, since you guys have been pointing out the fact that the cover art for John’s upcoming live DVD release was posted on his Honeyee blog, I went and grabbed it to show to everybody that hasn’t seen it yet.

I’m really looking forward to this DVD; it’s been a long time since the days of “Any Given Thursday.”

Also this summer, a new CD/DVD & Blu-Ray package from Mayer will hit stores, featuring a December 2007 show at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. The as-yet-untitled project includes an acoustic performance, a full-band set and Mayer’s performance with his Trio, featuring Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino.
